The international seminar, which has been held for 20 years, is a collaboration between Osaka Metropolitan University, Gajah Mada University, and the Yogyakarta Indonesian Art Institute. In 2024, the seminar theme will be The Dynamics of the Urban Landscape. This theme highlights changes in the physical landscape of the city which does not appear to have changed much, but society and its interactions, as well as the social structure have developed rapidly. This new interaction is caused by many factors that have occurred. So this theme is interesting to raise and in order to be able to find the latest facts and be sustainable, and continue to branch out into many other fields so that it will continue to expand understanding and open new avenues for exploration. This year, there were 20 seminar participants consisting of different academic fields and campuses, namely from: Gadjah Mada University (UGM), Indonesian Institute of the Arts (ISI) Yogyakarta, Yogyakarta State University (UNY), Satya Wacana Christian University (UKSW), Osaka Metropolitan University, and the Archives and Women’s History Room (RUAS). The keynote speaker present was Dian Lakshmi Pratiwi S.S., M.A. from Yogyakarta Special Region Provincial Cultural Office, and Dr. Chikahiro Nakamura from Osaka Metropolitan University.
