After participating in the Exchange Students program for 1 semester, 6 students of the Faculty of Fine Arts ISI Jogjakarta, consisting of 4 students of the Department of Crafts, 1 student of the Department of Design and 1 from the Department of Fine Arts exhibited their work while studying at the School of Arts, Shanghai Art & Design Academy, China. In addition, 4 students from the Department of Crafts, namely: Christabel, Gheitsa Alya, Inscription and Nazka also gave Indonesian Batik workshops to students and lecturers at the School of Handicraft Arts, SADA.
While at SADA, the six students studied Craft fields, such as ceramics, textiles, jewellery and glass art. Of course there are so many valuable and unforgettable experiences they get there. President of SADA, Mr. Song Lie who opened the exhibition gave high appreciation to students from FSR ISI Jogjakarta who showed a very good and impressive performance. They always work hard, never give up and are passionate about learning and creating mesmerising craft works. Of course this is very proud for the academic community of ISI Jogjakarta, especially the Faculty of Fine Arts. Teaching staff of the Department of Crafts as well as Assistant Dean of FSR, Dr. Yulriawan Dafri, M.Hum who was also present at SADA to open an exhibition with the President of SADA expressed his deepest gratitude to SADA who had received and provided the best knowledge for the six students. Dr. Yulriawan Dafri also gave an Indonesian Batik workshop with the four Kriya students. All workshop participants were so enthusiastic about participating in the workshop to the end and creating Batik works according to their respective characters.
