This exhibition showcases 25 black and white photos capturing the daily life of the Shipibo community. Offering inspiring documentation of Amazonian roots, the exhibition invites us to witness the rich culture and history that continues to thrive within this community.

“Shipibo-Konibo: Portraits of My Blood” is a collaboration between the Embassy of Peru in Indonesia and Faculty of Recorded Media Arts ISI Yogyakarta

About the Artist

David Díaz Gonzales (b. 1992, Ucayali, Peru) documents the daily life of his Shipibo community. He is influenced by pioneering photographers like Martín Chambi. He also a recipient of the Amazon Rainforest Journalism Fund.
