Warsono, S.Sn., M.A. and Triarani Utama who are members of Jogja Disability Arts (Indonesia) collaborated with Rachel Rogers and Ngozi Ugochukwu from Dada Fest (UK) to get a grant from the British Council. Jogja Disability Arts is a disability observer organisation that continues to strive to improve the quality of life and empowerment of disability through fine arts.
In the grant financed by the British Council, Warsono, S.Sn., M.A. together with Jogja Disability Arts and Dada Fest submitted a research entitled “PRISM: Understanding the Spectrum of Meaning in Disability Arts Collaborations”. This collaborative research is one of ten proposals selected for this year’s Connections Through Culture (CTC) grant, the British Council’s flagship programme for artistic collaboration and intercultural exchange.
From the research conducted by Jogja Disability Arts and Dada Fest, it is expected to be able to provide important input for the sustainable development of Disability Art Collaboration Guidelines. The grant obtained by Warsono, S.Sn., M.A. hopefully can inspire other ISI Jogjakarta lecturers.
