Greetings from Seoul. Hello, my name is Sam Jegal, international coordinator at Korea National University of Arts. I’m here to introduce our Artist Residency program called Art Major Faculty ‘Explore K-Arts’(AMFEK).
As an affiliated organization of Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Korea, the Korea National University of Arts runs the short-term fellowship program for Art educators and professionals. AMFEK is sponsored by the MCST and invites professionals and academic researchers in various art fields from abroad each year for the purpose to promote artistic cooperation and cultural understanding and introduce Korean traditional and contemporary culture. Followings are AMFEK outline:
Period
2016.7 ~ 2015.12 (Approx. 5 months)
Will begin work as AMFEK Fellow on August 1, 2016. Arrival dates are negotiable according to the participants’ schedule.
Field of the Program
6 schools* of Korea National University of Arts
*Music, Dance, Visual Arts, Drama, Film/TV/Multimedia, Korean Traditional Arts
Main Activities & Obligations
a. An Individual project, performances, exhibitions, workshops, seminars etc.
(According to participants’ individual research plans)
b. Korean Language lessons
c. Participation in cultural events for reciprocal cultural understanding
Support
a. 1 round-trip Airfare(Economy class)
b. Accommodation
c. Korean Language Lesson
d. Living expense
e. Traveler’s Insurance Fee
f. Partial support on proposed project
