Academic Guidelines for International Students
Tuition Fee
International students are required to pay the tuition fee per semester and additional fees set by respected faculty. The exact cost of attending courses at ISI Yogyakarta will vary according to personal needs, but at the time of registration, overseas student must pay the tuition fee up to US $ 700 for one semester.
Applicants may take another procedure by applying for Dharmasiswa Scholarship, offered by the Indonesian Government for those who are interested in studying the Indonesian art and culture. The application form can be obtained from the Indonesian Embassy in the applicant’s home country. Recipient of the Dharmasiswa Scholarship will be facilitated to study in Indonesia for a year. However, applicants are advised to have additional financial sources prior to the admission.
Sarjana Degree Program
Applicants must have studied at ISI Yogyakarta for at least a year as non-degree student, and have a high level of achievement in specified subjects. Applicant must complete an application form in full, and sit for the entrance examination.
Language Training
The Unit of International Affairs (UIA) ISI Yogyakarta will provide a short Indonesia Language (Bahasa Indonesia) training for one month to International students in order to develop their Indonesian ability.
Academic year
The academic year is divided into odd semester (September-January) and even semester (Feb-July). One semester takes up to 16 weeks at maximum, included the mid-term test, excluded final test.
Grading System
The grading system in ISI Yogyakarta applies the Grade Point of Average (GPA) on the scale of 4.00 based on the accumulation of all grades in the semester divided by the number of credit taken by the students.

Credit System
ISI Yogyakarta applies SKS or Semester Credit System as the measurement standard of the courses.
Graduation
Commencement of studies normally takes place in odd semester, however, a mid-year intake is possible for non-degree students.
